Factual narrative
On March 21, 1994, at 1130 central standard time, a Cessna TU206B airplane, N3841G, sustained substantial damage when it nosed over after landing on runway 36 in Canton, Illinois. The pilot reported no injuries. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed for the personal flight. No flight plan was filed. The flight originated from Sallisaw, Oklahoma, about 0730 central standard time. The pilot reported he had monitored the automatic terminal information service at Peoria, Illinois, 18 nautical miles northeast of Canton, which indicated Peoria winds were 330 degrees at 19 knots. He landed at Canton without incident and was taxiing to the ramp. He said the wind caught the left wing and nosed the airplane over. Following the accident, the pilot estimated the winds were 320 degrees at "35 knots or more". -
