Factual narrative
On November 26, 1995 at 1618 eastern standard time (est), a Cessna T337G, N6CX, piloted by a commercial pilot, sustained substantial damage when the nose gear collapsed during landing. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed at the time of the accident. The personal 14 CFR Part 91 flight was not operating on a flight plan. The pilot reported no injuries. The flight departed from the Oakland Airport, at Pontiac, Michigan, exact time unknown. A telephone interview with the pilot was conducted by the investigator in charge on December 1, 1995. The pilot stated that the airplane had not been flown in three weeks. The pilot said he took off on runway 9L and was landing on runway 9R at the Oakland Airport. The pilot said the airplane bounced hard during landing, and the nose gear collapsed. The pilot said that the landing gear was never retracted during the traffic pattern. N6CX's front propeller and firewall were bent. -
