Factual narrative
On October 27, 1995, at 1219 central daylight time, a Cessna T210F, N6115R, registered to and operated by a private owner as a Title 14 CFR Part 91 personal flight, was substantially damage following a loss of control during landing roll at Richard Lloyd Jones Airport, near Tulsa, Oklahoma. Visual meteorological conditions prevailed and a flight plan was not filed. The private pilot was not injured. The flight originated from Shawnee, Oklahoma. The pilot reported to a FAA inspector that, during the landing roll on runway 01R, his cellular telephone "bounced" off the seat and "jammed" the rudder pedals. Approximately mid field the aircraft veered off the runway and the right wing strut struck a VASI control box. Examination of the aircraft by the FAA inspector revealed structural damage to the fuselage inner structure at the attaching point of the right wing strut. The right wing sustained damage to stringers and ribs near the strut attaching point. Attempts to obtain a completed Pilot Operator Report, NTSB Form 6120.1/2, were unsuccessful. -
