The student pilot reported that, during the landing roll, he applied brakes, but the airplane began to veer left. He corrected with right rudder, but the airplane exited the runway to the left and nosed over. The airplane sustained substantial damage to the left wing and rudder. The student reported that there were no preimpact mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation.

The student pilot was landing the airplane on runway 24.
