Investigator assessment

Analysis narrative

The pilot of the tailwheel equipped airplane reported that during landing, the airplane bounced and when the airplane touched back down, the tail moved to the left. He applied left rudder to correct the movement, however, the airplane ground looped to the right, nosed over and came to rest inverted. The left wing sustained substantial damage. The pilot reported that there were no preaccident mechanical malfunctions or failures that would have precluded normal operation.
