Preliminary narrative

On August 14, 2025, about 0830 Pacific daylight time, a Cessna 180K, N2691K, was substantially damaged when it was involved in an accident near Anza, California. The pilot was not injured. The airplane was operated as a Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations Part 91 as a personal flight. The pilot reported that after she conducted a normal 3-point landing on runway 28 at Lake Riverside Estates Airport (54CL), Anza, California, the airplane began to drift to the left and she applied right rudder to counteract the drift. Despite her control inputs the airplane continued to drift to the left, which resulted in a ground loop and the left main landing gear collapsed Postaccident examination of the airplane revealed the left wing was substantially damaged.
